Comment: Of the many delightful things about our holiday was the lack of hassle. A 2 minute stroll to the Gondola in the morning, ski right back to the Hire Shop at night and then straight down to the warm indoor pool and spa complex to ease the aching limbs.
There was any number of places to eat after that. And really cheap too. Forget all that tosh about food being bad in Bulgaria....
ell it could be elsewhere I suppose, but in Bansko it's very 'European' in quality and only Bulgarian in prices.
Sking was great though we tend to enjoy doing the same pistes and using the familiarity to do the jumps at the side, or follow the trails and cut through the forests. Anyone who just wants to ski different pistes every day for a week may get disappointed half way through the week.

Comment: Bansko is an excellent place to visit and the ski instructors were excellent in teaching the beginners to ski, the resort hotels are very family run and have that personal touch.Royal Towers is by no doubt a very cozy hotel, boasting many amenities and its being situated in a prime location enables you to be both near the town centre and the lift.

Comment: I loved Bansko Royal Towers, but you do have to be careful about which apartment you choose because some are still owned by the developer and are of outstandingly poor quality.
I booked mine through www at bansko-online at co at uk and the website owners claim to vet the quality of the apartments that are available through their site.
Mine had a plasma TV in the bedroon and every conceivable tasteful luxury. It also overlooked the gondola. It couldn't have been better.

Comment: As a note, I am unsure as to how the previous two comments could ever be true as I and all of our 20 strong group had an absolutely fantastic stay. Everything was good..except maybe some of the locals, but you cannot mark them down on that can you?

Bar 0 degrees was great fun, the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly, even though we were independently renting through a private company.

A bit of information i was informed about was that the previous facilities management company HOME CARE have now been booted out as the general concensus was not very positive.

I will be returning this year. Lev for Lev the best ski holiday I have ever had!

Comment: Our experience in bansko at Bansko Royal Towers was a bad experience.
The staff was very rude and the hotel was very dirty. No service at all.
The previous review was the best description of the hotel.
The only extemely good thing was the restaurant zero in the complex of Royal
Towers with excellent food and service.
I am still wondering if the restaurant belongs in the hotel Royal Towers.

Comment: Not sure where Nick and Michelle stayed but our stay was terrible. We sent them an email and haven't yet had a response.

The staff employed at Bansko Royal Towers are very poorly trained . I have a number of examples. On 16th and 17th of February we were looking forward to using the pool and Jacuzzi. On Saturday the pool was extremely cold and being unused and on Sunday the Jacuzzi and pool were cold and being unused.
On questioning your staff, the same response from two ladies was “I don’t know.” When asked if they had a manual for the facilities, again we were given the poor explanation of “I don’t know.”

Breakfast has been shocking!! The items which are meant to be hot including eggs, bacon and toast have been cold every morning . This is a food poisoning risk waiting to happen. Eggs especially are to be kept hot or refrigerated. Again, when we asked the staff why they are cold they say “I don’t know.” I am beginning to truly dislike this lame response. Additionally, the hot milk and coffee have been turned off and went cold . Again, we asked why this was and luckily we didn’t get the typical response. Instead, we were told, “No body has come for breakfast so we turned them off.” The time we arrived for breakfast was 9am. Another few tables filled up quickly at the same time. To turn off the hot items to save a little money is a ridiculous excuse, especially when breakfast was to continue for another hour.

I would recommend that you try a little training of your staff. With the large amount of development occurring in the area, your accommodation will quickly have a lot of competition and this poor service will kill the commercial ability of your apartments.

We needed clothes washed and decided to use your washing facilities despite the large price. On getting back our clothing we found that the majority had shrunk. My husband’s jeans have lost 1 inch off the bottom and are unwearable. My t-shirts have also shrunk to a point where I am unable to wear them as they are too tight around the armpits. These items of clothes have been washed numerous times previously and do not need special washing methods. On seeing reception they blew us off and we were told to see the man in charge of the laundry in the afternoon and when we came back at the recommended time, he wasn’t here. What a surprise. My husband finally got to speak to the laundry man in charge and he would take no responsibility for shrinking our clothes. These clothes have DEFINITELY SHRUNK!!!!! No question about it. We have items that weren’t put through our laundry which are the same and we can see the amount of shrinkage when compared. I am appalled that he will not refund the money for an extremely poor job!!! This really pisses me off!!!!

We realise there is internet access in reception however the level of smoking in this area is cancer causing as soon as you walk in the door. I don’t care if other people want to kill themselves but I am disgusted at the amount in reception and the cause this will have to passive smokers. Even your lazy staff sit around smoking. I think you will notice that a number or restaurants around the area are offering non-smoking areas. Considering the known hazards of passive smoking I would strongly recommend you look into non-smoking in your common areas, especially where you have employees to avoid future law suits involving passive smoking. This has occurred in Australia and UK where there is non-smoking laws in pubs, restaurants and hotels.

Our room , 512, has a leaking shower . A large puddle forms outside of the shower. We thought this was due to water leaking from the base of the glass door but not so. It leaks from under the lip. Reception wouldn’t give us another room when we requested this on 14th but would get a maintenance man to look at it. In the evening we found this wasn’t fixed and then in the morning asked again and were offered another room. On checking the other room, we found that the shower head wouldn’t stay up which would result in having to hold this up whilst showering. We decided to remain in 512 with the leaking shower as this is the less annoying of 2 bad rooms.

Additionally the toilet doesn’t flush properly . Toilet paper is always left in the toilet even after flushing numerous times. It seems that all fittings in the apartment are of poor quality. Not 4 star quality.

In our block, there is a strong sewage smell in stairwell and a banana skin was left there rotting over 2 nights before cleaned up. Once again, this is not a sign of a 4 star establishment.

I would not rate your establishment as 4 star. Possibly minus 4 stars. My husband and I are extremely upset regarding our unpleasant stay and the large amount of money we have spent to stay here. According to your brochure you mention “Live unforgettable moments in the charming complex ROYAL TOWERS and enjoy the mountain vacation of your dreams with HOME CARE HOLIDAYS.” It has definitely been unforgettable but not charming or the vacation of our dreams.
