The House – museum of Nikola Vaptzarov was proclaimed a historical cultural monument with national significance.
Nikola Vaptzarov (born 1909) , one of the most famous poets in XX th century. Its verses were translated into 50 languages. He is the only Bulgarian who was awarded after his death, with the International Peace Prize in 1952. His native house was converted into museum in 1952. The house was reconstructed three times, respectively in 1960, 1979 and 1992. There is an exhibition at high professional level remarkable for its untraditional method of presenting information in memorial museum.

The museum has 3 functional parts – video hall and two premises with capacity of 40 seats. There is present also the family tree of the poet. Here you can enjoy to the authentic ethnographic exhibition. The most impressive thing is the videotape “The Magic of Bansko”. It represents lections in English, German, French and Russian.
The Museum – house is combined with the Home of Arts and Poetry.
The House is open every day between: 8.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 – 18.00.
