5 million € will be invested in a modern Spa complex in the village of Varvara

Soon the construction of a modern spa complex in the village of Varvara will begin, announced the village’s mayor.
The investment in the project is around 5 million €. It is foreseen that a new hotel with 150 beds will be constructed and many one floor houses will be scattered in the nearby forest. There will be several swimming pools in front of the houses. It is expected that the first part of the spa complex will be ready in two years.
Varvara is a picturesque village, situated on the north slope of Alabak in the west part of Rhodopes Mountains. It is famous with its mineral water and the remains of medieval fortress “Gradishteto”. You can also see several medieval chapels and the nature reserve “Saint Marina” with its five centuries old venerable oaks.
Many people have recently bought properties in the village of Varvara, because of its beautiful nature, mineral water and historical finds.
