All ski resorts open the season in the middle of December

For the first time in Bulgaria all winter resorts will kick off the ski season 2012/2013 at one and the same date. This will happen on December 15th. Although the weather is warm and there is snow on the ski slopes, ski resorts in Bulgaria are getting ready to welcome winter sport enthusiasts from Bulgaria and abroad.
The concessionaire of Borovets promise that there will be good ski conditions on the slopes, but the price will be higher. The motif is that the prices in the winter resort have not been increased dramatically, however, the price-forming factors which have direct impact on them have been changed. Currently Bansko confirms that ski lift passes will be changed in the last minute. Hotels and restaurants will keep their last year’s prices. If you happen to be in Sofia, you can enjoy skiing in Vitosha mountain, however, use the existing equipment as further constructions are not planned to be made.
