Austrians Head for Albena Resort
Sofia News Agency, 05.04.2005
A group of more than 8,000 Austrian holidaymakers are set for arriving to Albena, one of Bulgaria's most popular seaside resorts. The pensioners have apparantly chosen to start their vacation in April because prices before the peak of tourism season are considerably lower. The first of those 8,000 are arriving on April 12, while the other groups are planning to land by May 18, a local tour operator said, cited by Bulgaria's state news agency BTA. Bulgaria has a tradition in providing hospitality services for elderly Austrians, Bulgarian media said. They also recalled that a few years ago an Austrian man aged 102 was the oldest among all visitors to the place. see source
