Bulgaria hosts IH&RA Board of Directors conference

Bulgaria will host a conference of the International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA) Board of Directors in May 2010. This was announced during IH&RA congress in Belgrade, Serbia.
Bulgaria’s Deputy Economy, Energy and Tourism Minister Ivo Marinov took part in the congress and he presented Bulgaria as all year-round tourism destination.
Mr. Marinov was chairman of the discussion ‘’Balkans – Place for Tourism Investments’’. IH&RA president Ghassan Aidi and official representatives of World Tourism Organization took part in the discussion. It was a common opinion of all participants in the discussion that governments have to be involved in marketing and tourism ad campaigns. However, it is the responsibility of the tourism sector to take care of the education and qualification of employees in the sector.
