Bulgaria may aim for 10.5 mln tourist arrivals by '10

Bulgaria's potential as a tourism destination could reach 10.5 mln visits annually in 5 years' time if the necessary transportation infrastructure is put into place, Bulgarian deputy tourism minister Dimitar Hadjinikolov told a conference in the resort of Zlatni Pyasatsi last week. The forecast was made by the World Tourism Organisation. Bulgaria's hotel bed inventory is officially estimated at 190,000 with as many as 55,000 of the beds located in the Varna area, it was announced at the forum. see source
