MIET starts the conduction of a project that is called ‘Multimedia catalogue of tourism places and e-marketing of the tourism destination Bulgaria’’. The aim is to develop the existing website and enrich it with information in five languages-Spanish, French, Arabic, Japanese and Hebrew.
The Bulgarian government plans to attract tourists from all around the world with an enhanced online catalogue. The change is needful since Bulgaria’s official tourism portal now has versions of Bulgarian, German, English and Russian only. International polls show that 80% of the people who plan a vacation worldwide do a touristic destinations research on the Internet. Hence, this is the reason why the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism puts efforts into enhancing the website and overall vision of Bulgaria as a tourism destination. The website will provide tourists and prospects with a rich collection of links, as well as in-depth information about Bulgaria. The future enriched website will include 400 text documents, 4000 photos, 50 videos and 50 audio files.
