Bulgaria ranks in top 6 of unexplored golf destinations for 2011

After the popular portal Yahoo has placed Bulgaria among the top 5 attractive ski destinations for winter season 2010/2011, our small, but precious jewel, falls in another prestigious ranking. Bulgaria is included in top 6 of ‘Unexplored golf destinations for 2011’. The award is given within the biggest International golf tourism exhibition- IGTM. The idea of the prize is to ‘enlighten’ the world on the unexpected golf tourism opportunities in remote destinations.
The members of IGTM choose ‘hidden gem’ among world golf destinations and they judge the venue on the basis of the overall attraction of the region, the quality and easy access of the golf courses, the hotel standard, staff’s attitude and professionalism, prices and the atmosphere in the respective golf holiday venue. The winner of the top chart was the Canadian island Prince Edward which is particularly beautiful due to its unique relief. It was chosen among 26 contestants. We are pleased to inform you, though, that Bulgaria, followed by Columbia, Iceland, Mississippi and Sweden, fall in top 6.
