Bulgaria to be Divided into 8 Tourism Regions

Bulgaria's State Tourism Agency has selected the principle that will be used to zone the country in different tourism regions. The zones will be marketed abroad as separate destinations.
Each of the eight regions - Sofia, Rila-Pirin, Rhodоpes, Thrace, Black Sea, Old Balkan Capitals, Balkan Range and Danube, will have to appoint by this fall a representative that will come into line with the agency.
That official will also sit on the national tourism board, a body that tackles issues related to the development of the local hospitality industry.
