Bulgaria’s tourist monuments estimated at 100 billion EUR

The most valuable monument is the temple St. Alexander Nevski in Sofia city. All cultural and tourist landmarks in Bulgaria amount to 100 billion EUR, said Rumen Draganov, the director of the Institute for Analysis and evaluation of tourism at a seminar in Cyprus. Last year 980 000 people visited the impressive temple St.Alexander Nevski in Sofia city.
Rila Monastery ranks second with 720 000 visits last year. Tsarevets hill in Veliko Turnovo comes third with 370 000 tourist visits. Bachkovo Monastery near Plovdiv city was visited by 330 000 last year.Troyan Monastery has drawn 180 000 tourists in 2009.
