US ambassador advises that Bulgaria needs to promote its tourism opportunities

Bulgaria needs to invest more funds in the promotion of its tourism in USA. There are few US citizens who are familiar with the history of Bulgaria and are aware of the fact that the country features a beautiful nature.
This was announced by the US ambassador who attended the official opening of International tourism conference ‘Tendencies, innovations and investments in tourism branch’. The state and business should join their efforts and promote the country. Only 6000 US citizens visit Bulgaria annually and this number is insignificant since US holidaymakers will be surely interested to explore the beauty of the country. According to the ambassador, US citizens cannot find Bulgaria on the map and they usually visit Greece and Turkey, because these countries allot more funds to promotion and proper advertisement.
Bulgaria’s nature and history are astonishing. The ambassador commented that outside Sofia city one can find beautiful mountains, crystal clear sea waters and many landmarks in bygone times. Us Ambassador admitted that he truly appreciates the beauties of Bulgarian nature. The deputy minister of economics informed that Bulgaria works on several projects, financed by operational programs of EU and therefore the tourism will be properly promoted. Bulgaria is a small country and it attracts tourists primarily from Europe, however, Internet is a means of communication creates opportunities and shapes a new behavioral pattern.
