Bulgaria’s top wonders were presented in Holland at the 7th International forum of media. The old town Sozopol, the relics of Joan the Baptist, Perperikon, the antique Nessebar, the Thracian sanctuary near Tatul, Belogradchik Rocks, Madara Horseman, the Roman town Deultum near Debelt, Tsarevets and Trapesitsa, Rila Monastery and Veliki Preslav were defined as top 10 most popular Bulgarian tourism landmarks in the campaign ‘Wonders of Bulgaria’. The importance of this cultural heritage is not only related to history, but also the overall image of the country. Both Bulgarians and foreign tourists need more information about the discoveries and insight presentation. The government allotted 10 M BGN for the campaign. The idea is to turn the initiative into an annual event.
