Bulgarian and Romanian regions develop joint projects for cultural tourism

Anita Valentinova , 31.10.2010

The Bulgarian regions of Dobrich, Silistra and Rousse in cooperation with the Romanian Constantsa and Giurgio are included in a project for the development of cultural tourism ‘Eastern Pontika’. They will work together on a project for the development of cultural tourism. After participants in the project conducted a research, they stressed that Bulgarian and Romanian regions are suffering from the lack of a common strategy and trans-border structure, which will unite the attempts of the two countries to come up with a consistent tourism product.

The main aim of the project is to overcome these issues and enhance the economic development of the Bulgarian-Romanian border region.
