Bulgaria’s Pirin Golf & Country Club hosted an amateur golf tournament name Devin Golf Open. The event was held on July 31st 2010. The great interest in the event and the contest proves the efforts in developing and promoting golf tourism in Bulgaria. In this sense, the steady development of golf tourism lured “Devin- mineral water from the mountain” to join the initiative to promote the high class sport.
45 Bulgarian and international golf players took part in the competition. Among the participants and winners was the Slovak Ambassador Karol Mistrik. Dimitur Radev ranked first in division A followed by Radoslav Rashev and Radko Stoynev. Bozhidar Spasov was the winner in division B with 40 net Stableford points, followed by Viktor Pis. Kostadin Kaloyanov ranked third but gave up the prize in favour of the Slovak ambassador Mistrik. Trifon Siderov won division C with 41 net Stableford points, followed by Anton Panayotov and Angelinka Kozhouharova.
