The National Art Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum are housed in the former Royal palace. It was built on 1873. During the reign of Knyaz Alexander Battenberg the building was entirely renovated on the exterior and inside in the Art nouveau style, with elements of Neo-rococo and Baroque. Expensive and unique wooden pieces of furniture were arranged in the palace rooms. Visiting the National Art Gallery, one will discover sumptuous interior and unique ambience.
