European bicycle riding routes boost the development of Bulgarian tourism

Bulgarian Association of Alternative tourism expects that European commission will approve the project for the creation of a network of countries and a unified plan for the promotion and implementation of a route ‘The road of the Iron curtain’. The route was presented by Michael Krammer who is the author of the concept. In 2005 European Parliament accepted the proposition of Krammer who extensively presented the advantages of such a cycling route. Krammer pointed out that Bulgaria is responsible for the utilization of the potential of the European route in order to develop tourism. The tourist route ‘The road of the Iron curtain’ passes through 20 European countries and it is spread over 7000km. The starting point of the route is Barents sea and the end point is Black Sea.
