Festival of green ideas in Gabrovo

The beautiful area Uzana near Gabrovo will turn into a village of eco initiatives in Bulgaria. This will happen on 16th and 17th of July 2011. The initiative Uzana Polyana Fest is a scene of eco innovations, traditions, games and music.
The festival is organized by the program for small projects of Global eco fund and it is the first time when it will be presented in such an attractive manner.
‘Eco academy’, a street where one can find bio products, ‘Techno park’ with projects for the utilization of alternative energy, Megdan, Dzen center for spiritual health and info centre will be organized within the framework of the festival. The most attractive elements of the festival will the demonstrations of installations for alternative energy. The closure of the festival will put a start for the initiative, promoting cycling as an alternative tourism. Enthusiasts will be able to ride a bicycle all the way along from Uzana to Veliko Turnovo town . Thus, they will show that eco and alternative tourism have serious perspective and they are a great alternative to the most popular form of tourism.
