Opera Festival Bansko 2010

The first open-air opera festival in Bansko will be held on 27th and 28th of August 2010 at the foot of Pirin mountain. The ambition of the organizers – Bansko municipality, Tourist Association - Bansko and the prestigious Kempinski Grand Arena Hotel is to turn the cultural event into an annual event.
The festival program is prepared by Plovdiv Opera and the prominent artist Kaludi Kaludov. Guests and residents of Bansko will enjoy the "Tosca" (Puccini), conducted by Luciano Di Martino, during the first night of the festival. The role of Mario Cavaradossi will be played by Kaludi Kaludov, world-famous baritone Niko Isakov and the Polish singer Anna Ditri will also participate in the spectacular performance.
Famous singers and young talented artists will perform at the megaconcert that will be held on 28th of August 2010. The inspiring program of the festival that will lead you to a new cultural world with Chaikovsky’s masterpieces, Puccini’s Turandot, Verdi’s Traviata and many others.
All guests and Bansko residents are cordially invited to attend the festival at the central square of the town of Bansko on 27th and 28th of August 2010. All performances start at 8:30pm The entrance for the festival is free.
