Five Bulgarian Hotels were bestowed Diamond Awards of IHRA

Bulgaria was given five of the total 20 annual Diamond Awards which International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA) traditionally bestows every year. Four Bulgariann hotels and one restaurant chain were given the prestigious International awards. Bulgaria’s Grand Hotel Pomorie was distinguished as the best hotel. Happy Bar and Grill was the best restaurant chain. It is important to note that Hotel Dimyat, Varna has been honoured the best business hotel.Grand Hotel Velingrad received best Balkan Spa hotel award. 47th congress of IH&RA was held from January 18th to 21st in Belgrade. More than 200 000 hotels and six million restaurants are members of the association.
Bulgaria’s town of Veliko Turnovo will be officially declared the Balkan cultural tourism capital on the 4th of April 2010.
