450 000 EUR allocated for archaeological missions

Ministry of Finance allocated 856,890 BGN additional funds for archaeological researches, reported the Ministry of Culture. These funds will be used to finance archaeological researches and excavations of sites of national significance. Of course, some monies will be allocated for conservation and restoration of architectural and historic landmarks. Some of the places that are included in the project are: National historical and archaeological reserve Pliska, National Historical reserve Veliki Preslav, Trapesitsa in Veliko Turnovo, Thracian sanctuary Belintash and Kozi Gramadi, Necropolis near the village of Topola, the fortress Radostitsa near Ivaylovgrad, the monastery in Melnik, islands near Sozopol and many others.
