International Kukeri competition in Orehovo village

The small village of Orehovo that is located near Chepelare hosts an International Kukeri Show and a competition. The event will be held on 26th and 27th of February 2011 under the slogan ‘’Meeting-competition of kukeri groups’as International groups will also participate in the contest. The most interesting part of the event will be the Parade of Kukeri groups which will be held on 27th of February 2011. The mayor of the small village said that many foreign holidaymakers are expected to attend the event in order to combine the excitement with some rural tourism opportunities.
