Pamporovo tries to catch up with Borovets and Bansko winter resort with many innovations

In addition to that, they have conducted an aggressive advertising campaign.
, being one of the three leading ski resorts in Bulgaria, has made the greatest number of innovations. It invested intensively in snow cannons in order to achieve excellent snow cover at 90% of the ski slopes. 120 brand new snow cannons were bought and thus the number of artificial snow making facilities at is 145. They would provide snow cover at the new 7-km trail, which was launched a year ago, but due to the lack of snow it remained unused during the last winter season. The same has occurred to the 6-seat lift between Stoykite village and the peak Snezhanka which will be put into operation during this winter season.
In there are six lifts and four stationary trails along with many moveable ones, which are suitable for ski novices. The capacity of the facilities at the ski area is 11 600 persons per hour. ‘’We adopted a new approach, a new concept with respect to tourists this season and many things have changed. We have put many efforts into attracting tourists by our ad campaign and we presented at tourism exhibitions in UK, Russia, and Serbia. Our goal is to convince tourists that the resort is a lively one, new and modern and there is no doubt that it can compete with and '', explained Sofia Tsankova from Pamporovo Jsc.
The investment of 5 million EUR is a part of the program for the development of the resort. The funds are invested mainly so that the artificial snow making system will ensure the snow on the slopes regardless of the vagaries of the weather. A modern ski area for children was constructed and grooming machines have been purchased. Funds were allocated for the reclamation of all ski tracks, the construction of a new wardrobe at Stoykite and the reconstruction of main wardrobe at Pamporovo Jsc, as well as new ski equipment. This year Pamporovo Jsc only operates their dining places at the track, the Golden Eagle at Snezhanka Peak and Malina Restaurant. "We conform with our policy of moderate prices, relevant to the quality of services at the resort" explained Sofia Tsankova. She added that the resort has a reliable rescue service, an ambulance and 6-seat motor sledge.
