More than the half of European tourists searches for online holiday offers

Nearly 55% of tourists in Europe prefer seeking their holidays in Internet, showed a recent survey of “International European travel monitor”. Besides attractive offers, many Europeans make a thorough research in order to gather information for resorts, cuisine and landmarks, which are interesting to be visited.
The number of people who use social media, forums and various websites, where reviews, comments and posts can be read, has increased significantly.
According to PhoCusWright official data, between 40% and 44% of British and Scandinavian use Internet so as to book online hotels, flight tickets, bus tickets or tempting holiday packages.
In fact, due to the global financial crisis, more tourists are eager to grab a discount offer in the last minute and, of course, the quickest and most convenient way to do it is using Internet.
