Motor sleighs are forbidden to pass in Bulgarian resort Pamporovo

The Mayor of Smolyan Municipality Dora Iankova banned officially the usage of motor sleighs on Pamporovo’s ski tracks. According to Municipality’s instruction, snow jets can pass the ski tracks, but only to supply tourist objects with products and this applies from 8 am until 9.30 am. Machines will be allowed to use only specific routes. Maps with the marked routed have been displayed throughout Pamporovo. The prohibition for passing vehicles which weighs more than 3,5 tons was also declared and it will be valid from 16th of December until 15th of April 2009. The Municipality also announced the final prices of ski passes in the resort for ski season 2008/2009. Daily pass in the resort will cost 25€ (50lv). Discounts for regular tourists and students are not included in the final rates for ski season 2008/2009. However, the season pass card costs 380€ (760lv) instead of the expected amount of 680€(1360lv).
