Museum ‘Old Nessebur’ reveals the treasure of Messembria

The museum ‘Old Nessebur’ will present its valuable exhibits in the archaeological exhibition in Sozopol.
All cultural monuments from Nessebar are on display in a special window display. The exhibition ‘’Apolonia and Black Sea civilizations’ is opened in the Archaeological museum in Sozopol. The most ancient exhibits from Messembria, which can be seen in Sozopol, date back from the classic epoch and reveal details about the lifestyle of the first inhabitants on the peninsula.
Pottery, marble sculptures, as well as bronze spears reveal the way of life and the culture of Messambria’s inhabitants. The statue of Venere from 2nd century will draw the interest of experts and museum’s visitors. Items of the medieval period in Nessebar are also on display. The exhibition in Nessebur will be opened for visitors until the middle of September.
