The National Park Pirin turns the preserved territory into a ‘open-air school’ due to the new information and educational boards. The new installed information boards will aid tourists who explore the Pirin National Park. More than 500 boards will be put alongside the marked tourist routes, near the huts and the rest nooks. New boards will show a map of the entire park with information, regarding the main rules, which one needs to adhere to while being in the preserved territory. In addition, the boards help tourists to get easily acquainted with the rocky formations, vegetation, forests in Pirin and their inhabitants. Tourists may find interesting the comprehensive information for the endemic species in Pirin, herbs and mushrooms, the wild goat, the wolf, the bear and, of course, the symbol of Pirin National Park-the rock eagle.
