New tourist route opened in Vratsa

The tourist route “Inherited path ‘Antique and Medieval Vratitsa’ was officially opened in the municipality Vratsa. The eco path passes through the popular archaeological site in the area Gradishte near the passage Vratsata. According to the historical records, the town Vratsa has been arisen there. The construction of the path has been carried out for 3 months and the total investment is estimated at nearly 6 000 BGN. The creation of the patrimonial path is a result of the patriotic aim to arise Bulgarian national self-confidence. The town of Vratsa dates back to the Roman period and its residents can be only proud of this, commented municipality’s officials. It is expected that the excavations near Vratsata will reveal findings which will rank the town along with the European and world cities, boasting ancient history. Because of the common efforts of many enthusiasts and institutions, the town of Vratsa and the region have been turned into an attractive tourist destination in the recent years.
