Night of Museums 2010 in Bulgaria

The European initiative ‘Night of Museums’ takes place for the 6th consecutive year and some of Bulgarian museums and galleries will take part in it for the 5th time. The Night of the Museums is an initiative of the ministry of culture and communications of France. It started in 2005 and has been gradually turning into an European event of great cultural importance. 2000 museums from 40 countries participate in the “Night of the Museums”. The total number of Bulgarian museums which will participate in the event is 42. Please, note that the event has been opened today and it is due to continue even after midnight as for this purpose the working time of museums was lengthened.
