The descent with raft on the waters of Struma River is one unforgettable adventure for everyone. Kresna Gorge is situated 120 km away from Sofia on the International road E79 Sofia-Kulata. There Struma River cuts up the mountain and forms swift currents which tempt the lovers of extreme adventures. Struma River provides excellent opportunities for relaxing and resting after a day full of rafting adventures. The spring has come, the waters of the rivers are high, filled by the melting snow in the green mountains, singing birds are everywhere around. No doubt that this is the best time of the year for rafting and kayaking in Bulgaria. The official opening of the rafting season in Bulgaria will take place on the 4th and the 5th of April. Organizers, journalists and visitors will meet at Kresnensko Hanche site at 10 am on the 5th of April. The marvellous Kresna Gorge and Struma River valley will be full of colourful boats and people keen on thrilling adventures. In the beginning the members of the sports clubs will perform demonstrations with rafts and kayaks in the river and then the descents for the guests will start.
