Comment: Varna, is an excellent city with good food and dring, lot of places to go lot of things to do. People are very friendly. I have been travelling for many years and been to many parts of the world but there is some thing about Varna that's magical and I'm keep going back, this year I have visited three times. By the way for those who might be wondering about the cost well food and dring is very cheap, stay in good hotel so you enjoy the trip properly.

Comment: Lovely city, gorgeous weather, delicious food (Greek salad with 'rakia' is my favourite!) and very cheap beer. What really strike me - people go out at 12 o'clock midnight! Will definitely go back...

Comment: Highlights:

Plenty of things to see. First, Varna Summer, theathre and dance perfomances throughout the summer months. Second, Argeological museum is maybe the best in Bulgaria. Have a relaxing day on beach, pick up bus 9, 109 or 409 to Golden Sands and sunbath there with thousands of tourists. Go to party with bulgarian people in Varna, beachside discos are popular among them. Or just stroll around streets and look for beautiful facades...

Quick Tips/Suggestions:

Learn Cyrillic letters and buy good map. Visit central market where you can find everything needed and not needed. Clothes, fresh vegetables, chickens, fish, pigs and plenty of second hand things. Have a break there and buy some snacks for very low prices.

Best Way to Get Around:

Public transport is way to save money, bus ticket cost max. 0,60? up to Golden Sands, in city it is around 0,30?. If you prefer taxi, use radiotaxi with meter, in Varna area it will cost max 3? for long trip (around 10 km). But never take taxi from Cathedral, they will rip you off! In buses, take care of your belonings, lots of pickpocketers...
