Sapareva bania competes to be excellent destination in European tourism

Sapareva Bania Municipality was invited to participate in the competition for an excellent European tourism destination. The prize is given to those resort which shows best results in a project of the European Commission and the Bulgarian government. This matter was clarified during the presentation of the program in the information center near the Geyser, attended by the chairman of National Tourism Agency and leader of the project Anelia Krushkova.
If Sapareva Bania makes a successful presentation in the project, it will be included in the new European tourist map and it will be promoted and advertised on European market
with promotional videos, TV spots, inclusion in tourism routes, brochures and advertisements in the EU.
“Sapareva Bania was chosen to be presented in the project, because it is an area which is rapidly developing and it is located in a close proximity to Sofia. Thus, Sapareva Bania is even more attractive with its investment opportunities. Nature landmarks and the whole cultural heritage which is preserved during years would successfully promote Sapareva Bania in the future.”, concluded the chairman of National Tourism Agency. She also expressed her hope that Bulgaria should distinguish its most attractive representative in the competition of the European Commission. In her opinion, all protected areas, which have the potential to take part in such a competition, must be really attractive.
