How to protect yourself during a ski holiday in Borovets

All tourists in Borovets will be provided with brochures and tips for the winter vacation. More than 3000 brochures in English and German language will be given in hotels, shops, cabin lifts and at ski lift stations in the oldest ski resort in Bulgaria, Borovets. Many representatives of tourism agencies will also receive such brochures. The major aim of the local municipality is to undertake precautionary measures in order to ensure the quiet and pleasant atmosphere in the popular ski resort and the safety for the upcoming ski season in Borovets. The police also warned that tourists should keep their valuables, substantial funds in cash at the hotel reception. Also, tourists should take care of their ski equipment and snowboards. Even though the resort is properly guarded, the police strongly recommend that tourists close the windows of the hotel rooms and lock the doors. Tourists should be careful when it comes to exchanging foreign currency and they are advised to resort to licensed exchange offices or banks. In case one suspects a crime, they will be able to report it at the direct hotline: 112 and 116.
