Spanish Firm Builds Golf Course over Sofia Landfill

A Spanish firm will build a golf course and a big holiday village near Sofia, said sources of Sofia municipality. Over 80 ha of reclaimed landfill will be turned into a golfers' paradise; the company plans to invest 3.2 million leva (1 leva = 1.96 euro) into the project. The Spaniards are also prepared to invest into the infrastructure and sewerage of the nearby village of Katina. The money from the sale of the construction site will be spent on sports facilities in Sofia. see source
