Two options for the sale of Slanchev Bryag AD, the company that owns and operates the infrastructure of the eponymous seaside resort, are being considered, deputy prime minister Lydia Shuleva told the parliamentary economic committee on Wednesday. One option is to try and privatise the company through a competition that will be open to hotel and restaurant owners and providers of public services whose annual income in the past three years exceeded 50 mln levs. The second option is to sell the company's assets, distribute the proceeds among the shareholders and then wind it up. According to Shuleva, the wisest approach would be to hold talks with potential buyers. The law, however, does not allow for such course of action. A couple of months ago an alliance of hotel owners and the Nesebar municipality asked to be named exclusive buyer for Slanchev Bryag and to be allowed rescheduled payment. The company's major shareholder is the state with a 75% stake. see source
