The exposition in Ethnographic complex in Dobrich renovated

Anita Valentinova, source:dariknews.bg, 25.07.2009

The ethnographic and historical complex in Dobrich renovated one of its constant expositions, the one of the Ethnographic house. It is located near the church “St. George”. This year after having been renewed, the complex presents clothing and the typical rural lifestyle from the 19th century. Some of the new items include urban clothing and Austrian furniture. The entrance premise, which is also called ‘the haet’, is allocated for temporary expositions where currently the private collection of dolls and typical Bulgarian clothing is presented. The second floor is completely renovated and there the curators have decided to present only items from the 20ties and 30ties of the 20th century. One of the rooms in the museum has been transformed into a dressmaking workshop. Visitors will have the opportunity to see female and male clothes and accessories, which were typical for European fashion from that time which has easily gained popularity in Bulgaria. Don’t miss to hear the presentation of the museum’s curator as your tour will be even more exciting and interesting.
