Around 15 000 tourists are expected in the municipality Banite during the summer

“15 000 tourists are expected in Banite during the summer season”, declared the mayor of the municipality. He added that the total number of tourists was 10 000 last year, but growth of 5000 is expected this year. He also said that the municipality “Banite” put effort in developing the rural tourism in the region. Moreover, eco and bicycle paths are constructed on the territory of the municipality. Some of them are “Zagrajdenska” eco path, and several eco paths in Vishnevo nearby “Dqvolskiq most” (“The evil’s bridge”); short eco path is constructed from the balneo-therapy sanatorium in the village of Banite to Kichukovata house and back. The mayor of municipality Banite, Mr. Danailov added that the construction of bicycle path from Banite to “Dqvolskiq most” (“The evil’s bridge”) is forthcoming and it will be long around 5km. He declared that there is also great interest for the construction of exurbs on the territory of municipality Banite. The availability of mineral springs also makes Banite attractive spot and it is the reason why the municipality will use it for the development of rural tourism in the area.

Banite Village of Banite (Smolyan District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria. It is part of Banite Municipality. Banite has recently developed into an attractive mountain resort with its renovated recreation facilities, new private hotels and restaurants, modern nightclubs and cafes, swimming pools.
