53% of tourists choose a holiday destination and a hotel online most probably because of the preferences of tourists to contact the hotels directly.
This showed the figures of the survey of the tourists’ preferences in the region of Pamporovo. Results of such a survey give essential information regarding tendencies and some hints on which direction the tourism should make efforts to develop.
Bulgaria bids a welcome to foreign tourists predominantly from England, Russia, Macedonia, as this year the interest of tourists from Greece, Serbia and Romania has been enormous according to the poll’s results.
One in three expressed dissatisfaction with the infrastructure in the winter resort of Pamporovo in contrast with the professional staff and high standards of service. 92% of the participants in the poll assessed the service of staff, including hotel personnel and ski instructors, as “very good”.
89% from the interviewed are contented with the reservation system and its reliability since Internet plays again a vital role for the convenience upon booking a holiday.
Mr. Krystev, the owner of the luxurious Royal Lodge, the organizer of the survey, commented that in case Bulgaria wishes to offer competitive and demanded tourist product, it is important to face the reality and to receive feedback from customers in regard with their expectations and recommendations. Such a poll is planned to be made every year, but next time opinions in detail will be requested.
