Sofia News Agency, 10.03.2005
Bulgarian ski pearl Pamporovo, one of growing attractions in Europe, appears to be also the most coveted ski resort for Turkish ski fans, according to Sabah daily. The Rhodopes-located resort was singled out in line with fanciful places in Spain, France, Italy and Sweden, where various alternatives for tourism, sports and recreation are being offered. Turks frequent Bulgaria's Borovets as well, the newspaper wrote, favored for its longest and best at the Balkans ski-track. Bulgarian winter resorts are scoring points, as foreigners grow more familiar with the country. The government has been working out and implementing strategies to bring the ski facilities up to a standard that would enable Bulgaria to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. see source
