The mayor of the picturesque village of Arbanassi announced that 164 couples tied the knot in Arbanassi in 2008 and even more surprisingly every bridegroom is a foreign resident. It is reported that the number of weddings varies from 160 to 200. What really attracts people in love to organize their wedding in Arbanassi is the opportunity of executing the rite of marriage at the same place where is the wedding ceremony.
Moreover, the village has 23 restaurants at its disposal which offer a variety of wedding celebrations.
Last but not least one of the main reasons for the well-developed wedding tourism is the close proximity of Arbanassi to the so-called ‘Trigradieto’ (‘The three towns’)-the remarkable cultural and historical centre Veliko Turnovo, Gorna Orqhovitsa and Lqskovets. In addition, the village of Arbanassi is easily accessible.
