We stayed at Hotel Leipzig during our travels around Bulgaria. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our fridge didn't work and I wanted cold juice for the next morning, no problem, it went into the bar fridge and was ready at 6am!
Our room was an old one, meaning not a refurbished one. It was a bit tired looking but it was clean, quiet, pleanty of hot water and after all, we only slept in it!
It's an easy walk into the downtown area of Plovdiv for daytime sightsseeing and shops, and evening dinner etc.
There are lots of really nice places to eat in the streets around the hotel. There are a couple of nightclubs too if you want them, we didn't! Towards the centre, there are great street cafes to sit in and watch the world go by. Tip: ladies take your own loo paper!!
We left very early to get a train and the hotel packed breakfast for us which was really good of them and unexpected!
As backpackers, the best thing about this hotel for my family was the close proximity to the train station and bus station, it was an easy walk to them, and when we arrived, this hotel was so easy to find too.

Very pleased with our choice to stay in this hotel.We had a room in the renovated part,so everything was new and comfortable.The staff is very polite. We believe that in the near future after renovation is completed (at thepresent prices) the hotel wil be something like a hidden gem.
Breakfast is good,not great variety.
The hotel is surrounded by green- the Ruski bld, the Bounardzika hill, the City park is very near,too.

Excellent staff, very freindly.
Rooms are a bit tired but clean.
Very good Location, especially for central station and bus stations. Walk into old town via a beautiful park.
Good local restaurants near by.
