Door de stijgende populariteit van Bulgarije als skiegebied bij uitstek wordt er steeds meer geïnvesteerd in de wintersportfaciliteiten van Borovets, Bansko en Pamporovo. De skipistes worden perfect onderhouden, een deel daarvan zijn ook ’s nachts verlicht en op de pistes staan diverse sneeuwkanonnen om de natuur een handje te helpen als dit nodig is. Elk jaar worden er nieuwe skiliften gebouwd en de hotels worden gerenoveerd dat uw vakantie noch leuker kan zijn.

| Zonder twijfel is Borovets een van de meest populaire skigebieden van Bulgarije. Duizende vakantiegangers van de hele wereld worden elk jaar aangetrokken door de prachtige pistes, lekkere winterzon en gezellige après-ski mogelijkheden.
Er zijn vele innovaties ingevoerd in verband met het nieuwe winterseizoen in Borovets. De tot nu toe gebruikte eenpersoonsstoeltjesift wordt vervangen door de brandnieuwe vierpersoonsstoeltjeslift. Dat geeft aan beginners en natuurliefhebbers de mogelijkheid een afgelegen gedeelte van het Rila-gebergte te ontdekken – de regio van Sitnyakovo. De natuur daar is heel pittoresk, de pistes zijn gemakkelijk te volgen en afdalen via de indrukwekkende slingerenge skihelling neemt circa 20 minuten in beslag.
Een andere oude lift bekend als “Kotva”, die naar Yastrebets-helling 2 gaat, wordt ook gewisseld met een nieuwe vierpersoonsstoeltjeslift wat skipstes “Yastrebets” 2 en 3 makkelijk te bereiken maakt. “Yastrebets” 3 is perfect voor gemiddelde skiers die zich op de babyslopes al vervelen, en “Yastrebets” 2 is een baan voor ervaren skiërs die de uitdaging van de voorbijrazende professionele duivels willen aannemen.
De kamers in hotel “Samokov” en “Olymp” zijn volledig gerenoveerd, hotel “Rila” kreeg nieuwe inrichting en hotel “Lion” (oude naam Sokolets) was opnieuw gebouwd. De pistes voor hotel “Rila” zijn verbreed.
