29-m high church tower to be constructed in Haskovo

Haskovo municipality plans a 29-m high belfry to be constructed just behind the statue of the Virgin Mary.
The bells be controlled and managed by computer programs. Thus, various melodies will sound in the town at certain hours. The new facility will be 29-m high as arcade fretwork facilities will create a smooth transition from the chapel “St.Virgin Mary” to the bell tower.
The project will create smooth transition from St. Bogoroditsa chapel to the bell tower. A spiral-like staircase will lead to the tower’s top, from where visitors will have the chance to take delight in the panoramic view of Haskovo.
Impressive lighting effects will be produced to accomplish the unique ambience.
The idea of the construction will be fulfilled by the aid of donations.
