hotel overview:

Hotel “Friends” is located in the beautiful mountain town of Bansko - 150 km. from Sofia airport. With its elegant design and hospitality, it ensures a pleasant stay for everyone.

What guests appreciate most

The strongest advantage of Friends Hotel Main Building is its convenient position in Bansko's main tourist area, approximately 500 metres from the gondola and close to restaurants, bars and key ski services. Guests appreciate the good value for money, traditional atmosphere and practical conditions for a winter holiday. The hotel offers rooms and apartments, ski storage, a traditional tavern, restaurant and cosy lobby bar. The sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and relaxation area are useful additions after an active day in the mountains, while the children's area is convenient for families.

What guests most often complain about

Public ratings are relatively mixed and suggest that the location is rated more strongly than the condition of the rooms and overall service level. More critical feedback occasionally mentions dated furnishings, inconsistent maintenance and differences in comfort between individual accommodation units. The hotel provides relaxation facilities, but these are relatively compact and should not be compared with a large spa resort. During busy winter periods, the restaurant and shared areas can also become more crowded.

Who is this hotel suitable for?

Friends Hotel Main Building is suitable for skiers, couples, families and groups who prefer a traditional atmosphere and want to stay within convenient walking distance of the gondola and Bansko's lively tourist area. It is also a practical choice for guests who value having a restaurant, traditional tavern, ski storage and basic wellness facilities in the same property.

Our recommendation

We recommend Friends Hotel Main Building primarily to travellers for whom a convenient location, practicality and traditional character are more important than contemporary luxury interiors. Before booking, guests should confirm the exact room or apartment category, its current furnishings, the included meal plan and the operating hours of the relaxation facilities. Travellers expecting a large swimming pool, extensive spa centre or a completely renovated standard across all rooms may prefer another hotel.
