hotel overview:
Located next to a river, Bansko’s Maria-Antoaneta Residence is just a 3-minute walk from the local ski lifts and Bansko Mall. The property has a large terraced garden with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool.
What guests appreciate most
The strongest advantage of Maria-Antoaneta Residence is its very convenient position close to Bansko's main gondola station and ski area. Guests frequently appreciate the spacious and warm studios and apartments, the possibility of preparing meals in some units and the availability of ski storage, equipment rental and ski instruction on site. The warm indoor swimming pool, saunas and other spa facilities are useful additions after a day on the slopes. Staff also receive relatively good ratings, while some travellers consider the property good value for money.
What guests most often complain about
Current feedback is relatively mixed, with the most frequent criticism concerning the need for renovation in rooms and shared areas. Some units are described as having worn furnishings, damaged details, weak sound insulation and inconsistent maintenance. Guests also occasionally mention repetitive or lower-quality food, irregular towel changes and housekeeping, as well as additional charges for parking. During busy winter periods, the spa and common areas can become quite crowded.
Who is this hotel suitable for?
Maria-Antoaneta Residence is suitable for families, groups and skiers who place greater priority on proximity to the gondola and spacious apartment-style accommodation than on a completely contemporary hotel standard. It is also practical for travellers who want ski services, a swimming pool and basic wellness facilities within the same complex.
Our recommendation
We recommend Maria-Antoaneta Residence mainly to travellers looking for a convenient ski location, generous accommodation space and relatively good value. Before booking, guests should confirm the exact room or apartment category, its current condition, housekeeping arrangements, the included meal plan and parking charges. Travellers expecting fully renovated interiors, consistently high-end service and a luxury spa environment may prefer another hotel.

The hotel is basic and in need of an upgrade. Water heating is very basic and allows for one shower for every three hours for the water to heat up again. Electric heaters in the bathroom is extremely dangerous and several plug sockets were not connected ...
