Among the strongest features of SPA Resort Saint Ivan Rilski are its extensive spa facilities, renovated hotel accommodation and well-developed All Inclusive and Half Board concepts. Current guests rate the staff, spacious and comfortable accommodation, varied food and overall facilities very highly. The two-level spa centre offers heated indoor and outdoor aquatonic pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam facilities and fitness facilities. The resort also provides a restaurant, lobby bar, children's area, ski storage and organised winter transport to the ski area.

Despite the very strong current ratings, longer-term feedback is somewhat more mixed and suggests that the experience can become less consistent at very high occupancy. The large size of the resort means that the restaurant, swimming pools and spa facilities can become busy during winter holidays and weekends. The hotel is not immediately beside the gondola, so organised transport is more practical than walking for skiers. Internet is poor and doesn't connect nor cover all the apartments; the conditions in the apartment are not enough for 4 persons – it is impossible to sleep on the sofa (I have to admit that we've got an extra bed, but it was still difficult to sleep) ...
