An important meeting was held in Bansko ski resort. Representatives of municipalities Bansko and Razlog, Bulgaria’s PM Borissov, Traycho Traykov discussed a strategy for the future development of the area. They consider the option to build two new ski resorts in Razlog and Dobrinishte. Thus, the area of ski tracks will be expanded eight times and the number of ski lifts will be increased.
According to Nona Karadzhova, Bulgaria’s PM of Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria., mineral springs in the villages of Banya and Dobrinishte are preconditions for the development of SPA tourism in the region. Thus, eco and wellness tourism will draw more tourists to the area and therefore resorts will be also occupied from April to October. Bansko also provides holiday opportunities, so it’s more than a ski vacation destination.
