Bansko opens the ski season on 17th of December

The official opening of the winter tourism season in Bansko will be held on 17th of December 2011.Students will be able to take advantage of the ski tracks in the resort. It is expected that 10 000 future graduates will celebrate their 8th of December /official Students holidays/ in Bansko ski resort. Hotels offer attractive offers.

The price per overnight in Bansko ranges from 12 EUR in family run hotels to 25 EUR in luxury 4* hotel complexes. If you prefer 3* hotels, then 2 overnights with breakfasts and two dinners amount to 40 to 50 EUR. If there are good weather conditions, the ski centre may start operating on 1st of December. In order for 200 snow making facilities to be put into operation, temperatures need to drop below 3 degrees Celsius. In order to provide easy access to the ski tracks, 8-seat cabin lift will also start operating in the beginning of the next month. However, ski lift passes prices are not officially announced. Bansko residents and guests will enjoy many surprises for the official opening of the ski season. The traditional downhill at the ski track ‘Alberto Tomba’’ will be performed by former skiers.
