Borovets opened the ski season with a Great Snow Show

The ski season in the oldest Bulgarian winter resort-Borovets was opened on the 20th of December. The resort has proven that it may be considered as the best skiing venue in Bulgaria. Lots of party surprises, snow shows, attractions and excellently maintained slopes will amaze all guests of the reason throughout the season. Borosport provided free entertainment for kids in the children’s snow park “Borokids”, the rope town “Borolandia” and the shooting ground. Downhill of ski instructors from Borosport, impressive snowboard jumps, being performed by renowned sportsmen, horse riding, cheerful music and fireworks were just pieces of the rich program during the festival.

The main accent of the ski season this year will be the encouragement of ski sport and the healthy way of life among young people. This is the reason why the concessioner of ski tracks, Borosport, has decided to sell student ski lift passes 50% off the regular price. 6-day lift pass price for kids up to 12 years old has been also dropped. However, other ski lift pass prices remain unchanged. The last stage of the fulfilment of the great investment program for the total amount of 40 000 000 EUR has been completed. ‘’Borosport’’ started it in 2006. The major project, which was finished for the new skiing season, was the development of the open water resource between ‘’Yastrebets 2 and 3’’. It provides the new pump station with water in order to produce artificial snow and thus supplies directly the snow making facilities at the ski tracks. The water resource has the capacity of 21 000 m3 water and it will guarantee the excellent ski cover and development of all ski runs, as well as the links to ‘’Yastrebets Express’, all season long.
