Bulgaria Among "Europe's Cheapest Destinations"
Sofia News Agency, 26.05.2005
The cheapest European destinations are Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey and Cyprus - all non-euro destinations - although Spain is close behind, the Daily Record reports. The article also says Goa, Tunisia and Bulgaria head the league for sunseekers who want to be careful with their holiday cash, according to Thomas Cook's 2005 Cost of Holiday Living Index. The main indicator used is the cost of a typical three-course meal in the resort. The Indian state of Goa is well ahead of the rest, with a typical cost of just GBP 5 compared with second-placed Bulgaria at GBP7. see source
